Trackunit Partnership Proposal · June 2026 · Confidential

IrisX has the data.
SymX makes it work.

Trackunit connects 6.5 million assets and processes 2 trillion data points. That data isn't predicting failures. It isn't optimizing dispatch. And it cannot reach the $2.5B+ off-highway mining market — because mining equipment, despite sharing OEM lineage with construction machines, runs different firmware and requires different data extraction entirely. SymX.AI solves both problems. Validated, deployed, enterprise-ready today.

Part One — Trackunit's Existing Business
What SymX adds to every machine IrisX already connects

Same 6.5M assets. Same 800+ OEM relationships. Same customers. AI running on top of the connectivity Trackunit already delivers.

📡
TRACKUNIT CORE — FULLY OWNED
Machine Connectivity & OEM Data
IrisX connects 6.5M assets through 800+ OEM integrations. CAN bus telemetry, fault codes, location, engine hours, fuel. Trackunit's deepest moat. SymX does not replace it — SymX runs on top of it.
🔧
TRACKUNIT CORE — FULLY OWNED
Non-Powered Assets, Tools & Bluetooth Network
Kin and Spot cover non-powered assets through the world's largest Bluetooth® construction network. This layer is complete and differentiated. SymX does not touch it.
🔮
SYMX FILLS — MACHINE HEALTH AI
Machine Health AI — X.Machines
IrisX surfaces fault codes. X.Machines monitors mechanical signatures and fault code sequences — identifying failure trends before they become operational events. Validated 50% reduction in unscheduled downtime. The distinction: fault codes report what has happened. X.Machines surfaces what is about to happen.

IrisX gap it closes: IrisX is reactive. X.Machines makes it predictive.
🧠
SYMX FILLS — DISPATCH & PRODUCTION AI
Fleet Dispatch Optimization — X.Fleet
IrisX measures utilization. X.Fleet optimizes it in real time — identifying queuing, idle time, and dispatch inefficiencies as they form. 23% cycle time reduction at Doe Run. 22.9% production increase across three independent measurement streams.

IrisX gap it closes: Utilization data is descriptive. X.Fleet turns it into production gains per shift.
🔴
SYMX FILLS — TIRE INTELLIGENCE
Tire Intelligence — X.Tires
Tires are the highest-frequency maintenance cost driver on any off-highway fleet. IrisX has no tire-specific sensors or AI. X.Tires — co-developed with Yokohama Mining — embeds pressure, temperature, and wear sensors per wheel position. Predictive replacement AI extends tire life and eliminates blowout-related downtime.

IrisX gap it closes: Zero tire-specific intelligence anywhere in the current IrisX platform.
⚙️
SYMX BRIDGES — PATENTED PARTS AI
Parts & Inventory AI — X.Parts (Patented)
Patented AI on maintenance logs, parts history, and procurement data. Identifies assets trending toward failure, optimizes inventory, and triggers procurement before downtime occurs. Designed to connect into ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) consistent with the integrations Trackunit is building into its Marketplace ecosystem.

IrisX gap it closes: Closes the loop from machine diagnosis to parts ordered to delivery — on Trackunit's existing ERP integration layer.
🛠️
Why mining data extraction is harder — and why this matters
SymX's core technical contribution to the partnership
Same OEM, different machine
A Caterpillar 374 excavator in a construction quarry and a Cat 6060 mining shovel come from the same OEM family. But mining variants use different CAN bus parameter groups (PGNs), custom firmware for hazardous environments, and modified diagnostic schemas that don't match the construction models Trackunit has mapped.
Underground data is different data
Mining equipment running underground faces RF interference, extreme vibration, dust infiltration, and moisture — all of which degrade sensor signal quality and connectivity reliability. Getting clean, high-resolution telemetry from these conditions requires hardware purpose-built for them, not construction-grade telematics dongles.
Proprietary protocols underground
Epiroc, Sandvik, and Komatsu underground equipment use proprietary variants of CANOPEN and J1939 — with manufacturer-specific extensions that aren't in the standard J1939 specification sheets Trackunit uses for construction models. SymX has mapped these protocols through 18 years of field deployment.
The implication for Trackunit: The OEM relationships and the equipment are familiar. The data extraction isn't. SymX's SymBot hardware platform, hardened for underground environments, and its 18 years of industrial IoT depth across five continents solve the data extraction problem that would stop Trackunit at the mine entrance. This is the specific technical capability Trackunit cannot replicate by extending IrisX — and exactly what SymX contributes to the partnership.

Year 5 Combined
20–30% AI attach on growing base + initial mining revenue. Conservative — not a projection. All basis disclosed below.
Revenue model basis (illustrative — private company data, independent verification required): Trackunit 2022 net revenue DKK 991M (~$140M). Est. 2025 ~$200M (private). Implied ARPU from published figures: ~$7–9/asset/month. AI add-on modeled at $7–10/truck/month — capped at 100% of existing ARPU, not additive beyond it. Year 1–2: 325K–650K assets (5–10% attach) × $7–10/month = $27–78M range; shown as $50–80M midpoint, representing 35–50% uplift on 2022 base. Year 5: 20–30% attach (1.3M–2M assets) at $8/month avg = $125–192M. Mining TAM estimated — primary market research required. All figures for directional discussion only.
Part Two — The Mining Vertical
A new market. The equipment is familiar. The data extraction isn't.

Trackunit connects Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo CE, and Liebherr equipment in construction quarries and earthmoving sites. These same OEMs supply open-pit and underground mines. The machines are familiar. The data extraction is not. Mining variants run different firmware, different CAN protocols, and require hardware built for underground conditions. SymX solves that. Once connected, the trust travels with the equipment — and Trackunit enters mining as an AI-native partner, not a newcomer learning the vertical.

Step 1 of 3
Mixed fleet telematics — the trust bridge
Shortest path to entry
SymX already runs on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Atlas Copco, and Liebherr equipment in mining environments — the same OEM set Trackunit connects in construction. When a customer moves equipment from a quarry to a mine, the data model and the commercial relationship travel with it. Trust established in construction. Extended to mining — not rebuilt.
Step 2 of 3
SymBot + X.Connect — the physical key
Opens underground & remote sites
Mining equipment runs proprietary firmware and CAN protocol variants that construction telematics cannot read. SymBot — purpose-built for harsh environments — solves the data extraction problem. X.Connect then deploys HaLow WiFi mesh with no infrastructure, making every machine a network node underground. Without these two capabilities, the mining market remains closed regardless of OEM relationships.
Step 3 of 3
Full AI suite — same modules, new vertical
No new product development
X.Machines, X.Fleet, and X.Parts deploy identically in mining as in construction. Six-week setup. Same KPI framework. Proof: Doe Run — $5.9M net benefit, 46-day payback. Trackunit enters mining as an AI-native platform partner, with a validated proof point and a live deployment that any mining operator can visit.

Why competitors can't follow this path

Trimble has partial surface mining exposure. Samsara has none. Neither has solved the underground data extraction problem — the proprietary CAN variants, the ruggedized hardware, the underground mesh connectivity. This is not a software gap that can be closed by integrating a new AI model. It is a hardware and protocol depth gap that took SymX 18 years to build. The mining vertical is not a race. It is a structural advantage for whoever enters with SymX — and stays closed to everyone else.
